what she wears, what she wears, what she wears

In case you don't know what this blog post title is referring to..check it out>> SomethingInTheWater. I knew it was going to be a great day today! Why, you may ask? I haven't gone to sleep since Tuesday night. That is not why today was glorious. Today was a win because after pulling my official LAST all nighter of this semester, I finished my final of 3 papers, 3 video reviews, and my final stats term project. Wide-eyed and boosted with caffeine and general adrenaline (you can get that from no sleep right?), I reviewed the last few paragraphs at 7:30am and headed off to school for the last day of classes! Praise God for a sunny day. 18 degrees outside and things were lookin up. It is ridiculous how much a solid day of good weather can put me in a great mood. So, the logical thing to do after not sleeping and generally being locked up in my house for 3 days? RUN! Today I managed to beat my goal by 30 seconds! I did the usual 6km today and aimed for 30 minutes. Did it in 29min 30 sec. bang! It was so refreshing to see people out running and beachin it..and running down the hill to the beach is the BEST view of the city from my quiet little nook in Kits. Next time I'll take some snaps. Next up? 10km SUN RUN. I can't wait! First I need to let these shin splintys heel up though..my bag of frozen corn just isn't cuttin it anymore :( sigh..time to invest in an ice pack.

So, as I sit and actually LOUNGE for the first time in what seems like weeks, (with my bag of corn), I'm anticipating getting my social life back and reminiscing on the last month. Upcoming travel fun-ness: Cambodia trip, Sun Run, Ontario/Eastern Canada trip with the sisters, Rivendale, visiting my grandparents up north, and a sporadic trip to a secret place that I cannot reveal on here!

Haha, today I told God I missed Him. I think he laughs when we say things like that.. He's all like "Yo, I know you do..but I've been here all along goof!" Aside from sporadic prayers, conversations, and general rants, God and I have been missing some serious one-on-one time. I bought the SOLO devotional book, and its safe to say its changed my life! Well..at least the way that I've been meeting with God every day. Since the RIVER on thursday nights have ended, I've journalled tons. The 10 week course was so good for my soul. God has taught me soo maany things in these past few months its so amazing and overwhelming sometimes I feel like telling Him to slow down! Its funny, when you discover a new, but more importantly deeper way to enter into relationship and prayer with God, it feels like you're a new person. It's something that a lot of people don't understand, but if you've ever broken through a spiritual wall, or grown closer to God, you know what I'm talking about. I'm talking about some serious, serious breakthroughs though here. I know, trust, and love my Father more than I have my entire life. He is showing me mercy, faithfulness, and love in SO many ways everyday in this beautiful life I get to live. Prayer is a two-way conversation! Who knew listening prayer could be an everyday, every prayer deal? breakthrough i tell ya!

Here are just a couple little photos from the last little bit. My tea is getting cold - time for a loooong, long sleep. xo
